Referrals and contact
Referrals are accepted from individuals and from health professionals. They can be made in writing, in person on the telephone, or by email (please bear in mind the risk that email is never as confidential as letter post). Clients and professionals are welcome to telephone or email with an initial enquiry in order to discuss whether sessions with me would be appropriate.

I see clients at the following location:
- Golders Green. 999 Medical & Diagnostic Centre,997-1003 Finchley Road,London NW11 7HB: accessible by underground train: Golders Green (10 mins), bus (82, 460) and car. Within easy reach of Golders Green, Hampstead, the West End, Finchley.
• Finchley Central. My office is within ten minutes' walk of Finchley Central station, and within two to five minutes' walk of several buses including the 82 (to Barnet and Golders Green) and the 143 (to Hendon Brent cross, East Finchley and Highgate). There is ample parking, and the practice is within easy reach of Mill Hill, Hendon, East Finchley, and Junction 2 of the M1 motorway. Address provided on booking an appointment.
• Please note: For the past two years, in line with guidance about reducing personal contact as far as possible, I have been offering assessments and therapy online, by skype or zoom, in order to protect both my clients and myself. I have continued to work in this way, as both for my self and for clients, this has proved efficient (in terms of time) and effective (in terms both in relation to how useful sessions have been and how satisfied people have been with the outcome). I am continuing to work online with clients where this is feasible and acceptable but have also begun to see people in person, in North London, where this works for them. I currently work mainly within office hours, 9 to 5pm, and do not offer sessions in the evening or at weekends.
Fees must be paid immediately after each session unless we have agreed an alternative arrangement.
Fees may in some cases may be refundable by your insurance company. I am registered as a provider by several of the major insurance companies including BUPA (http://finder.bupa.co.uk/go/ms_sara_gilbert), AXA-PPP, Aviva, Pru-Health, Aviva and Cigna. Please note that some companies may require a referral from a GP or a consultant psychiatrist in order to qualify for a refund of psychologists’ fees; and in some cases there will be an excess to pay at the beginning of treatment or specified limit to the number of sessions they will fund. You should enquire with your company in advance of booking sessions.
Notice of 48 hours is required for cancellation of appointments. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours or less will be subject to the full fee.
